Validus inTouch for Hospital IT

Browser Support for Desktops

All inTouch applications are native applications as well as Web 2.0 (AJAX) based. All applications can be run from most popular web browsers including Internet Explorer and Firefox on all major operating systems and platforms.

Broad Support for Mobile Phones

Validus inTouch provides Web 2.0 browser-based and app-based interfaces for mobile phones. Most phones with WebKit based browsers will run inTouch including iPhone, Android phones, Palm WebOS phones, and RIM Blackberry phones (RIM has announced WebKit support for summer 2010). Platform specific applications can be downloaded for Windows Mobile phones as well as the iPhone.

Optimized for Today’s Networks

Validus inTouch was designed for network efficiency and provides a smooth user experience even over mobile telephone data networks. Of course Wi-Fi and wired networks, in the hospital or over the Internet at home or office work great too. inTouch was designed for today’s always-on networks; no inconvenient data synching process is needed and no stale information is stored on mobile devices.

Solid Network Standards

We’re fanatic about IEEE and IETF network standards. We will play very nicely on your networks.

Strong Security for Information in Transit and at Rest

Our security is based on the best available open industry standard security protocols that everyone knows, understands, and trusts. We use SSL based data encryption with the latest standard encryption and hash algorithms on all of our data. No information, whether sensitive or not is ever sent to clients over the network in an unencrypted form. No Protected Health Information (PHI) is ever stored on clients.

Easy Hardware Installation

The base Validus inTouch server platform is a small rackmount server such as the Dell R710 running a standard Linux operating system. Just plug in power and Ethernet. We can configure hot spare systems and integrate into your existing backup solutions.

Straightforward Hospital Integration

Just plug in the Validus inTouch server and physicians can begin writing orders and sending them to hospital printers. Add an HL7 ADT data feed and physicians will have real time access to patient lists and demographics. Add HL7 feeds for laboratory, radiology and pathology results as well as medications for rich clinical information for your docs on the go. Our flexible HL7 modules make integration to your existing systems a snap.
